2025 Hajj: NAHCON Opens Platform for Complaints Against Approved Tour Operators

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced its readiness to address grievances against the 10 approved lead private tour operators for the 2025 Hajj operations. The Commission emphasized its commitment to fairness and transparency in handling such matters.

This announcement was made in a press statement signed by Fatima Sanda Usara, the Assistant Director of Information and Publication for NAHCON, on behalf of the Commission’s Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Usman Saleh. The statement outlined steps for stakeholders and the public to submit complaints with credible evidence against any of the approved companies.

“To this end, NAHCON hereby invites individuals or groups with credible evidence justifying why any or all of the aforementioned companies are not qualified to be among the lead companies to come forward with their claims on or before Friday, 3rd January 2025. Such evidence will facilitate a review of the selection and thorough re-investigation that would enable the Commission to take appropriate action should the allegations be substantiated,” the statement noted.

Complaints must be submitted in writing and accompanied by verifiable evidence to the NAHCON Chairman. The Commission reassured stakeholders that all submissions would be handled confidentially, and investigations would adhere strictly to principles of impartiality.

The statement further appealed for cooperation and understanding, reiterating NAHCON’s dedication to serving its stakeholders with neutrality.

Previously, NAHCON had screened and approved 118 Private Tour Operators for Hajj and Umrah operations in 2025, designating 10 firms as lead operators.
