2027: Nigerians Will Vote Tinubu for Second Term – Presidency

The presidency has addressed ongoing speculations about President Bola Tinubu’s intentions for the 2027 general elections, confirming that he is likely to seek a second term.

Speaking to journalists at the All Progressives Congress (APC) headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media, made it clear that the president “will run his course as provided by the constitution.” This statement appears to dispel any doubts about Tinubu’s interest in pursuing another term in office.

Bwala expressed confidence in Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election, citing anticipated achievements during his first term. He remarked that the president’s performance would “naturally endear Nigerians to vote him for the second term,” and emphasized that Tinubu is constitutionally qualified to seek re-election.

He, however, said that President Tinubu is currently focused on “issues that border on the Nigerian people, to make sure that people come out of hunger, to make sure that agriculture brings about the expected revolution, to make sure that our people are able to deal with their everyday problems.

“So, the time for politicking is not yet and when that time comes we are going to be ready for everyone.

“And God willing, if God gives Mr. President life and health, we do hope that Mr. The President will run his course as provided by the constitution”.
