2027: Some People Will Learn Tough Lessons by 12 Noon on Election Day – Joe Igbokwe

Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that some politicians seeking presidential ambitions to succeed President Bola Tinubu in 2027 will learn tough lessons on election day.

Igbokwe took to his official Facebook page recently to express his strong views on the strategies some politicians are allegedly using as they gear up for the next presidential contest.

In his post, Igbokwe criticized what he referred to as the use of “fake news” by certain individuals who are nursing ambitions to take over from President Bola Tinubu in 2027. He did not mention any names but left a strong warning for those planning to rely on misinformation to sway the electorate.

“It looks as if FAKE NEWS is what some people plan to use to win elections in 2027. Please encourage them to continue,” he wrote on Facebook. “By 12 noon on Election Day, some people will learn lessons they will never, ever forget in a hurry. Make we de play.”

Igbokwe, known for being a vocal supporter of President Tinubu during the 2023 election, once again made it clear that he believes Tinubu is here to stay—until 2031. He noted that those plotting behind the scenes to take the top seat are wasting their time and energy.

The APC stalwart has become increasingly outspoken in recent weeks as political discussions about 2027 heat up. With various political actors rumored to be laying the groundwork for campaigns, Igbokwe’s comments appear to be a direct jab at some of them.

He also used his platform to caution the public against falling for unverified reports circulating in the media. He believes such tactics won’t get their intended result when Nigerians cast their votes.
