2027: VeryDarkMan Endorses Seyi Tinubu for Lagos Governor, Gives Reason

Social media personality Martins Otse, widely recognized as VeryDarkMan, has publicly declared his support for Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, as a potential candidate for Lagos State Governor in 2027.

While neither Seyi Tinubu nor his father has officially addressed any plans for the governorship race, the influencer’s endorsement has added to the buzz, as various groups have also thrown their support behind Seyi.

In a video posted to Instagram last Friday, VeryDarkMan expressed his reasons for backing Seyi, emphasizing his belief in the need for younger individuals to take over Nigeria’s political landscape.

He stated, “If Seyi Tinubu decides to run for governorship…I’m going to campaign for him. I don’t do politics but I’ll do politics because of Seyi Tinubu.” This statement reflects his commitment to a generational shift in leadership.

Seyi Tinubu, who will be 42 years old by 2027, could potentially become the youngest governor in Lagos State’s history. According to VeryDarkMan, Seyi represents a “bridge” to achieving significant political transformation in Nigeria. He further explained,

“Based on my calculation, Seyi Tinubu is a bridge to get something that I want, something that I believe will make Nigeria work.”

The influencer also noted that Seyi’s approach to politics mirrors his father’s strategy of cultivating loyalists early on and placing them in key positions of power.

VeryDarkMan speculated that Seyi may already have a network of younger loyalists, avoiding reliance on older individuals who might be harder to influence. He predicted that Seyi’s governorship could pave the way for these younger allies to rise to power across different states.

Interestingly, VeryDarkMan suggested that this youth-centric political shift could trigger a wave of rebellion among young Nigerians against Seyi’s influence, potentially driving more positive changes in the country. While these assertions are speculative, they highlight the growing discourse around youth participation and leadership in Nigerian politics.
