All 22 governors elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC) have thrown their full support behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.
This united endorsement was made public on Thursday during the APC National Summit, held at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja. The event, themed “Renewed Hope Agenda: The Journey So Far,” brought together party leaders and stakeholders to reflect on President Tinubu’s leadership and national development progress.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who chairs the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), announced the endorsement while addressing attendees. He formally moved the motion backing Tinubu to run unopposed in the next presidential election.
The motion was immediately seconded by the PGF Vice Chairman and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.
