Nigerian music star 2Baba has been seen shopping at a hair store with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, sparking fresh speculation about their relationship.
A video that surfaced online on Friday shows 2Baba and Osawaru browsing through hair products together. This development follows concerns raised by the singer’s family regarding his whereabouts.
Reports indicate that 2Baba’s family recently filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming he had gone missing. His mother, Rose Idibia, also made a public appeal, urging Osawaru to stay away from her son, particularly as his divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Idibia, has not been finalized.
In an emotional plea, she said, “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, and this message is for Ms. Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to release or free my son (2Baba).
“My son is going through a divorce process, and he’s clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son, this isn’t him. Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and his neck, remove them and free him,” she added.
Amid the controversy, a video has also emerged of 2Baba proposing to Osawaru in the presence of friends. The singer, born Innocent Idibia, reportedly popped the question on Thursday, with the footage showing him performing a song before presenting a ring to the lawmaker.
Osawaru, a graduate of Igbinedion University in Edo State, also holds a Master’s degree in Film Production from Full Sail University, USA.
The video of their engagement, along with the shopping trip, has fueled further debate online, with mixed reactions from fans and observers.
