Pep Guardiola Reflects on Management After Manchester City Loss to Juventus

Man City manager, Pep Guardiola, expressed deep reflection after his team suffered a 2-0 loss to Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday. The defeat at the Allianz Stadium in Turin marked another setback in a challenging season for the English champions.

The match, played in freezing conditions, left City’s hopes of advancing to the competition’s knockout stages in jeopardy. With seven losses in their last 10 games across all competitions, Guardiola acknowledged that he is questioning his managerial approach.

Speaking to reporters after the game, he said, “Of course I question myself in the good moments and the bad moments… My biggest challenge is when they give me the opportunity to be a manager and get results to continue to work.”

Manchester City currently sit precariously just one point above the bottom 12 spots, which would mean elimination from the Champions League. To secure their place in the last 16, they must close a five-point gap to reach the top eight. Their remaining group-stage matches include tough fixtures against Paris Saint-Germain and Club Brugge.

Domestically, City face further pressure in the Premier League, where they trail league leaders Liverpool by eight points. Their next test will be a high-stakes derby against Manchester United on Sunday.
