BREAKING: President Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointments

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries in the federal civil service. These appointments aim to address existing and upcoming vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones in the country.

This marks the second batch of permanent secretaries named by President Tinubu since taking office. The first group, appointed in June, represented states such as Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, as well as regions from the South East and South-South.

According to the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, the selection process was thorough and based on merit to ensure that qualified individuals were chosen for these critical positions.

A statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, revealed the names and states of origin of the newly appointed permanent secretaries. They include:

  • Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State)
  • Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State)
  • Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State)
  • Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State)
  • Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State)
  • Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State)
  • Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State)
  • Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)

The president has urged the newly appointed officials to display dedication, creativity, and a strong commitment to serving Nigeria effectively. “President Tinubu urges the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate greater commitment, diligence, and innovation in serving the nation,” the statement read.
