Nollywood actress Bimbo Ademoye recently added a touch of humor to a playful claim made by her colleague, Toyin Abraham. The lighthearted exchange took place during the premiere of Abraham’s latest film, Alakada! Bahd and Boujee, on Sunday night at the Filmhouse IMAX in Lekki, Lagos. The event was filled with excitement as fans and industry friends gathered to celebrate the movie’s release.
While addressing the audience, Abraham expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the cast and crew. In a playful twist, she announced that Ademoye, who had a significant role in the film, had just made two major purchases: a house and a luxury car. “Bimbo just bought a car and a house, put it on social media, Bimbo just a car … Latest Benz,” Abraham said, stirring amusement among attendees.
This statement prompted a quick reaction from Ini Edo, another cast member present at the event, who tapped Abraham’s shoulder and appeared to whisper something in her ear. Realizing the playful nature of her statement, Abraham laughed and admitted that she was joking.
The following day, Bimbo Ademoye took to Instagram to respond to the claim in her typical comedic style. She humorously downplayed the idea, using a mix of English and pidgin to entertain her followers. Ademoye joked about not being at such a financial level yet, questioning where the supposed house and car could be. She playfully pointed fingers at Abraham’s character from the movie, ‘Yetunde Animashaun,’ as the source of the fib.
