“Tinubu Will Rule Until 2031” – Joe Igbokwe

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, Joe Igbokwe, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on potential presidential aspirants to reconsider their ambitions.

His comments, shared via his official Facebook page, come amid rumors of a political alliance aimed at unseating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Recent speculations suggest that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s candidate in the 2023 elections, and Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) flagbearer, may join forces to challenge Tinubu in the next presidential race.

However, Igbokwe dismissed such plans, asserting that Tinubu is poised to lead Nigeria until 2031.

In his statement, Igbokwe strongly advised anyone eyeing the presidency to abandon the idea for the time being. He emphasized that President Tinubu requires a full second term to fulfill his vision and leave a lasting legacy.

“If any presidential aspirant is dreaming of winning presidential elections in 2027, I will advise that candidate to perish the thought till 2031. PBAT is destined to remain in the seat of power till 2031. He needs eight years to set the records straight,” he wrote.
