President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to travel to the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, January 11, for a five-day official visit. The trip will focus on attending the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) summit, an annual global event dedicated to advancing sustainable development.
Presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga confirmed the trip in a statement released on Friday. According to Onanuga, President Tinubu was personally invited by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE.
The summit, which runs from January 12 to January 18, will gather leaders from across the world to address pressing global challenges and explore innovative solutions for building a sustainable future.

During the summit, President Tinubu is expected to highlight Nigeria’s ongoing reforms in energy, transportation, healthcare, and economic development.
His discussions will also include strengthening bilateral ties between Nigeria and the UAE. The Nigerian delegation, led by President Tinubu, includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior officials.
The President will return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16, after completing his engagements in the UAE.
