The mother of late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, and actor Yomi Fabiyi, have found themselves at odds regarding the circumstances surrounding the artist’s untimely death. The confrontation unfolded during a World Press Conference organized on Wednesday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The event, aimed at demanding justice for the late singer, took a dramatic turn when Fabiyi alleged that Mohbad’s brother, Adura Aloba, had sent him a message on Instagram, claiming knowledge about the cause of the singer’s death. According to Fabiyi, Adura purportedly hinted at significant details that could shed light on the mystery surrounding the incident.
However, this statement did not sit well with Mohbad’s grieving mother, Mrs. Abosede Aloba. She vehemently denied Fabiyi’s claim, stating that her other son, Adura, had no involvement or knowledge of what led to Mohbad’s demise.
During the heated exchange, Mrs. Aloba made her emotions clear, saying, “They killed Mohbad, and you want me to lose his brother unjustly. He knows nothing about his brother’s death; do not implicate my son.”
The confrontation captured the attention of attendees, with Mrs. Aloba pointing directly at Fabiyi, accusing him of attempting to drag her family into further distress. Her passionate plea highlighted the tension and confusion surrounding the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.
Fabiyi, known for his activism and outspoken nature, has been vocal about seeking justice for the late singer. However, his allegations against Adura have raised concerns about the potential for misinformation to complicate an already sensitive case.
