U.S. President Donald Trump has begun his administration with a decisive move, announcing the dismissal of four senior officials appointed by the previous government.
In his first post on Truth Social since being sworn in, Trump revealed that this action is only the start of a broader effort to reshape the federal workforce.
“My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump stated in the post.
The four individuals named as being immediately relieved of their duties are Jose Andres, a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition; Mark Milley, associated with the National Infrastructure Advisory Council; Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars; and Keisha Lance Bottoms, who served on the President’s Export Council.
“Let this serve as Official Notice of Dismissal for these 4 individuals, with many more, coming soon,” Trump’s post continued, ending with his iconic phrase, “YOU’RE FIRED!” which gained widespread recognition during his time hosting the reality show The Apprentice.
