Renowned Lagos-based musician Mukaila Senwele, best known for his catchphrase “Koni Da Fun Ebo To Se Costay,” has passed away. The artist, originally from Ilorin in Kwara State, died unexpectedly on the night of January 24, 2025. He was 45 years old.
A source close to the family shared the heartbreaking news with ROYAL NEWS, confirming that Senwele’s death occurred without prior warning. “Mukaila had shown no signs of illness before his passing,” the family member revealed.
Senwele, whose roots traced back to Ilorin West Local Government Area in Kwara State, was widely loved for his unique musical style and powerful performances that resonated with a wide range of audiences. His music was known for its energy, catchy rhythms, and culturally infused lyrics, which set him apart from other entertainers in the vibrant Lagos music scene.
