The newly established security outfit in Anambra State, Agunechemba, has allegedly uncovered a shocking discovery at a well-known hotel in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
Reports suggest that at least 30 graves and a shrine were found within the hotel premises following a tip-off from a concerned citizen.
The unsettling discovery was made on Saturday and has sparked widespread reactions on social media. Videos reportedly recorded by the operatives at the scene reveal neatly arranged graves and a shrine within the compound of the hotel, which has since gained infamy.
Although police officials have yet to release an official statement, Mr. Ejimofor Opera, an aide to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has confirmed that the hotel, identified as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also referred to as ‘La Cruise Hotel,’ is being demolished.
He described the location as a suspected hideout for kidnappers and announced that the action was carried out in accordance with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law.
“The demolition of a kidnappers’ den disguised as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as ‘La Cruise Hotel,’ along Onitsha-Owerri Road, is underway,” Opera said. He further supported his claims by sharing videos of the demolition process.
