Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington narrowly escaped an alleged assassination attempt just days after being released from Kuje prison. The incident reportedly occurred early Monday morning as the artist was leaving a club located in the Victoria Island area of Lagos State.
Darlington, who is known for his bold personality and outspoken nature, shared his ordeal on Instagram. In the video, he revealed that unknown gunmen had fired multiple shots at his car, leaving it riddled with bullet holes.
The footage clearly showed the damage, particularly to the rear of the vehicle, serving as chilling evidence of the attack.
Visibly shaken in the video, the rapper addressed the attack, saying, “Long face sent killers my way, and I have not even posted anything. Bro, is this necessary? You tried to take my life. Really?”
While he did not name the individual he believes is behind the attack, Darlington suggested the act was orchestrated by someone holding a personal grudge.
