“We Are Super Proud Of You” – Bukola Saraki Celebrates Son Seni’s Grammy Win

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has congratulated his son, Seni Saraki, on winning his first Grammy Award at the 67th Grammy Awards.

Seni played a key role in the creation of Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which won the award for Best Reggae Album. His work on the project has now earned him a Grammy, marking a major achievement in his music career.

Bukola Saraki shared his excitement on social media platform X, expressing how proud he was of his son. He wrote, “Congratulations, Seni, on winning your first Grammy last night for your work on the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which took home the award for Best Reggae Album!”

He further noted, “Seeing you pour your heart into your passion and having it recognised on the global stage is an indescribable joy. Well done! We are super proud of you!”

Seni also reacted to the win, showing appreciation for all the artists, producers, and engineers involved in the project. He made special mention of Nigerian artists Wizkid and Bloody Civilian, as well as other contributors like Daniel Caesar and Jessie Reyez.

“I appreciate all the amazing artistes, producers and engineers who were brave enough to take on this project because it is about Bob Marley’s legacy,” he said. “I appreciate them for taking on the songs, reinterpreting them, and doing it their own way. Artists like Bloody Civilian, Wizkid, Daniel Caesar, and Jessie Reyez.”

Bob Marley: One Love is a biographical film that tells the story of the legendary reggae musician. It explores his struggles, triumphs, and the impact of his revolutionary music on the world.

This Grammy win is not the first time Seni has been recognized for his work in the music industry. In 2023, he was part of the team behind the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, which received four Grammy nominations.

Seni, a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, is also the CEO of The Native, a Lagos-based music magazine. He co-founded the publication in 2016 alongside Teni ‘Teezee’ Zaccheaus.
