Kebbi Government Removes 21 LG Education Secretaries

The Kebbi State Government has dismissed all 21 Local Government Education Secretaries across the state. The announcement was made on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala-Tafida, through an official statement issued in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

The statement notes that the removal of the officials takes effect immediately. The affected education secretaries have been directed to hand over their responsibilities to the Directors of Administration in their respective local government areas.

While the government did not provide specific reasons for the decision, it acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing officials to the state’s education sector. Bala-Tafida stated, “While the state government appreciates your contribution, it also wishes you well in your future endeavours.”

The dismissed officials have also been instructed to report back to their previous offices. However, no further details were provided regarding possible replacements or the criteria for selecting new education secretaries.
