Rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, are reportedly splitting up. Several media outlets, including TMZ and the Daily Mail, claim that the couple has already started taking legal steps to end their marriage. Reports suggest that Censori, a 30-year-old architect, has agreed to a $5 million settlement.
The news comes after a dramatic two weeks for West, also known as Ye. Just days ago, the couple made headlines with a shocking appearance at the Grammy Awards, where Censori walked the red carpet wearing almost nothing.
The bold fashion choice led to speculation about West’s influence over his wife, as she has frequently been seen in revealing outfits since their marriage. Some critics have even raised concerns about whether she was being pressured into these appearances.
Shortly after the Grammys, West went on a series of controversial rants on X, formerly known as Twitter. In his posts, he referred to himself as a “Nazi” and made comments about his control over Censori.
“I don’t make her do nothing she doesn’t want to but she definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval,” he wrote in one of his all-caps posts. His account later went inactive, though it remains unclear whether it was removed by the platform or shut down voluntarily.
Adding to the controversy, West’s fashion brand, Yeezy, faced backlash after launching T-shirts featuring a swastika. Shopify, the e-commerce platform hosting his store, quickly removed the site, stating that it had violated company policies. By Thursday, the Yeezy.com website only displayed a handwritten message reading, “Yeezy stores coming soon.”
According to the New York Post, this latest scandal was the final breaking point for Censori. A source told the outlet, “She’s had enough. The swastika shirt was the last straw. She told him that’s not who she is, and that she can’t be associated with that.” The source added that West believes Censori will return to him, but for now, she has made it clear that she is done with the relationship.
However, The Hollywood Reporter offered a different account, quoting right-wing figure Milo Yiannopoulos, who claims to represent the couple. He denied the rumors, stating, “Ye and Bianca are in Los Angeles, about to enjoy Valentine’s Day together. Announcements about their private life will come from them directly, not unsourced rumor in the tabloid press.”
West, who was previously married to reality star Kim Kardashian, has been open in the past about his struggles with bipolar disorder. More recently, he has claimed to be autistic. He and Kardashian share four children, and their divorce was finalized in 2022.
