Juventus Hands Inter Milan Costly Defeat, Keeps Napoli on Top

Juventus secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Inter Milan on Sunday, preventing their rivals from taking the top spot in Serie A. The match, held at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, saw Juventus claim three crucial points, pushing them into a Champions League position.

Francisco Conceicao emerged as the hero for Juventus, scoring the only goal of the game in the 74th minute. The Portuguese forward found the net after an impressive play from Randal Kolo Muani, sealing Juve’s third consecutive league win. This result means Napoli remains two points ahead of Inter Milan at the top of the table.

Inter Milan, who had an opportunity to overtake Napoli, struggled to break down Juventus’ solid defense. Despite creating several chances, they failed to convert them into goals. Lazio had already helped Inter’s cause on Saturday by holding Napoli to a 2-2 draw, but Inter couldn’t take advantage of that result.

Juventus’ win moves them into fourth place, level on points with Lazio but ahead on goal difference. With the race for the Scudetto heating up, Inter Milan will have another chance to close the gap when they face Napoli in two weeks. That upcoming clash could be a decisive moment in the title race.

Meanwhile, Juventus now shifts focus to their Champions League campaign. They are set to play the return leg of their play-off against PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday. Thiago Motta’s squad currently trails 2-1 after the first leg in Turin and will need a strong performance to advance in the competition.
