UCL: Davies’ Last-Minute Goal Sends Bayern Past Celtic

Bayern Munich secured a dramatic 3-2 aggregate victory over Celtic in the UEFA Champions League knockout play-off, thanks to a last-minute goal from Alphonso Davies. The German side, which won the first leg 2-1 in Glasgow, faced a tough challenge as Celtic managed to equalize the tie in the second half.

The visitors found their breakthrough in the 63rd minute when Nicolas Kühn, a former Bayern reserve player, took advantage of a mistake by Kim Min-jae to score. With the aggregate score now level, Bayern pushed forward in search of a winner.

Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, the Bavarians struggled to beat Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who made crucial saves throughout the match. However, in the dying moments of regular time, Leon Goretzka’s powerful header forced a rebound, which Davies bundled into the net off his shin.

The last-minute goal sealed a 1-1 draw on the night and ensured Bayern’s progression to the last 16 of the tournament.
