Mohbad: Why I Will Sue Wunmi If Liam Turns Out To Be My Grandchild – Mr Aloba Reveals

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has stated that he will take legal action against Omowunmi, Mohbad’s wife, if a paternity test confirms that Liam is his biological grandson. His concern stems from allegations that Omowunmi exposed the child to unsafe environments.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. However, due to public outcry and ongoing investigations, his body was exhumed on September 21, 2023, for an autopsy. Since his passing, controversy has surrounded his family, including a demand by Joseph Aloba for a DNA test to confirm Liam’s paternity before the singer’s reburial.

Despite Aloba’s insistence, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, has accused him of delaying the DNA test. Meanwhile, Omowunmi has stated that she agreed to the test not to prove anything to Aloba but to put an end to media speculations.

In an interview with Agbaletu TV, Aloba alleged that Omowunmi took Liam to a public event when he was just five months old, a decision he strongly disagreed with. He expressed concerns that the child had been exposed to cigarette smoke and possible violence at the gathering.

“If Liam turns out to be my grandchild, I will sue Wunmi for taking a 5-month-old baby to a show where several people smoke and violence could occur at any time,” he said.

Aloba further mentioned that he had recently seen footage of the child being taken to Ibadan, which raised additional concerns for him.

“Recently, I saw that they took him to Ibadan too. If he is my grandson, I will sue her,” he added.
