The Rivers State House of Assembly has extended the deadline for the Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Justice Adolphus Enebeli (retd.), and other officials to appear before them.
The officials, who were initially summoned to appear on Friday, failed to do so, prompting the Assembly to grant a 72-hour extension. They are now expected to appear on Monday, March 10, 2025.
The decision was made during a plenary session on Friday after a request by the House spokesman, Enemi George. George noted that the officials’ absence required an adjustment to the original timeline to ensure they had another opportunity to respond to the summons.
