Dortmund Sets Up Barcelona Clash After Victory Over Lille

Borussia Dortmund secured a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals after a 2-1 victory over Lille in France, sealing a 3-2 aggregate win. Despite conceding an early goal, Dortmund fought back to claim a crucial win.

Lille started strong, with Jonathan David scoring in the fifth minute to give the French side the advantage. However, Dortmund responded in the second half when Emre Can converted a penalty in the 54th minute. Maximilian Beier then scored the winner in the 65th minute with a well-placed shot.

The victory is a major boost for Dortmund, who will now face Barcelona in the next round. Meanwhile, Lille’s hopes of reaching the quarter-finals for the first time were dashed despite an impressive group-stage campaign. This marks another last-16 exit for the French club, having previously been eliminated at this stage in 2007 and 2022.
