Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has declared his intention to strongly oppose any bid by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to contest the 2027 presidential election under the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Fayose made the bold statement during an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Friday, April 18, 2025. He made it clear that he would actively campaign against Atiku should the latter choose to pursue the presidency once again under the PDP in 2027.
“I’m telling you that if Atiku comes again, I will work against him. It’s time to learn our lessons,” Fayose said during the interview, emphasizing the importance of listening to the people of Nigeria. He stressed that the nation needs to make informed decisions moving forward, suggesting that a sense of fairness and responsibility is needed within the country’s political structure.
