The National Youth Service Corps has officially released the deployment list for the 2025 Batch A Stream I prospective corps members, announcing the start of a new phase for many graduates across the country. The announcement came via a series of updates shared on the scheme’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday, April 21, 2025.
In the updates, NYSC noted the importance of a document known as the addendum, which is essential for registration at the orientation camp. The addendum is expected to be available on each corps member’s personal dashboard after completing the online registration process.
According to NYSC, failure to present this document could result in delays or complications during camp registration. It advised all prospective corps members (PCMs) to ensure the addendum is printed and signed before traveling.
In a new development, the NYSC announced that some corps members who were initially posted to Lagos will be redirected to nearby states for their orientation course.
Specifically, these include Ogun, Ondo, and Osun states. Similarly, those posted to Abuja may undergo orientation in Nasarawa or Kaduna, depending on space and logistics arrangements. This is not unusual, as the NYSC occasionally shifts camps to manage capacity and safety.
As the orientation exercises begin, the NYSC also gave a safety advisory, warning all PCMs to avoid night travel when heading to their assigned camps. In a clear message, the agency stated: “PCMs are advised not to travel at night to the orientation camp.”
