Victor Osimhen Shines Again as Galatasaray Thrash Eyupspor 5-1

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen was once again in brilliant form on Sunday, helping Galatasaray to a commanding 5-1 victory over Eyupspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

After some early questions were raised about his move to Istanbul, Osimhen showed why he remains one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe with a performance full of energy and class.

The 26-year-old made an immediate impact, providing the assist for Roland Sallai’s opener as Galatasaray took control early in the match. Osimhen continued to torment the Eyupspor defense and later set up Lucas Torreira to score Galatasaray’s second goal shortly after the break.

The Nigerian striker got on the scoresheet himself in the 71st minute. His well-taken finish put the match beyond Eyupspor’s reach and made it 3-0 for the visitors. His goal also increased his tally for the season to an impressive 31 goals across all competitions.

Galatasaray coach noted Osimhen’s leadership and influence on the field, praising his ability to lift the team during crucial moments. “He has shown great character and quality since he arrived,” the coach said after the game.

Alvaro Morata, coming off the bench, added two more goals for Galatasaray, making sure the visitors’ dominance was firmly established. Though Eyupspor pulled one goal back through Luccas Claro, it was not enough to change the outcome of the match.

The win keeps Galatasaray firmly at the top of the Super Lig standings as they continue their push for another league title. Osimhen’s form will be crucial as the season nears its final stages, with his 22 goals in the Super Lig making him one of the leading scorers in the competition.

For now, Osimhen seems to have fully settled into life in Istanbul, and if Sunday’s performance is any indication, there could be even more goals to come.
