Troops Battle ISWAP Terrorists in Yobe

Troops of the Nigerian Army are currently engaged in a heavy gun battle with suspected Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Buni Gari, Yobe State.

The military operation is being carried out under Operation HADIN KAI, the Nigerian Army’s counter-terrorism mission in the northeast region.

A brief update was shared on the Army’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday, confirming the ongoing exchange of gunfire.
