EFCC Blocked Us from Giving VeryDarkMan Food – Friends

Friends and associates of social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, known widely as VeryDarkMan (VDM), say they were not allowed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to deliver food to him after his reported arrest.

VDM was allegedly arrested by the EFCC last Friday, according to a statement made by his lawyer, human rights advocate Deji Adeyanju. The news of the arrest has stirred a wave of reactions online, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding it, and some pointing fingers at a particular bank suspected of having a hand in the matter.

Koko Pee, a close friend of VDM and also a public figure, shared a five-minute video explaining what happened when he attempted to bring food to the detained influencer. He said they went to the EFCC headquarters with the hope of feeding VDM but were turned away.

“We are here at the EFCC headquarters, trying to take food and go and see VDM. The body that took the beating needs to eat,” Koko Pee stated in the video.

He later released another video after leaving the EFCC office, stating, “There is a standing order for no one to see him or give him food until Monday.”
