BREAKING: Former President Diagnosed With Aggressive Cancer

Former United States President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an advanced and aggressive form of prostate cancer, according to an official statement released by his personal office on Sunday.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement read.

The announcement revealed that Biden, who served as the 46th president of the United States from 2021 to 2025, began showing symptoms that raised concern. After undergoing several medical tests, doctors confirmed the presence of a fast-growing prostate cancer that had already spread beyond the prostate gland into the bones — a condition commonly referred to as metastatic prostate cancer.

Medical experts use the Gleason score to grade the severity of prostate cancer. A score of 9, as noted in Biden’s case, falls into the highest category, indicating a very aggressive form of the disease. Despite the severity of the diagnosis, the statement brought a glimmer of hope by stating that the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive.

This means the cancer cells still respond to hormone therapy — a treatment approach that can help control or slow the spread of the disease. Hormone-sensitive cancers tend to respond better to specific medications aimed at reducing testosterone, which fuels cancer growth.
