The naira gained slightly on Tuesday, trading at N1,620 per dollar in the parallel market, up from N1,625 on Monday.
However, in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), it weakened marginally to N1,598.69 per dollar compared to N1,597 recorded the previous day. This reflects a depreciation of N1.69.
Data from FMDQ also showed that the gap between the official and parallel market rates narrowed, dropping to N21.31 from N28.
As the foreign exchange market remains volatile, analysts continue to monitor policy impacts on naira performance across both official and unofficial trading platforms.
