BREAKING: Again, Dangote Slashes Petrol Price Nationwide

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has introduced a new nationwide reduction in petrol pump prices, bringing relief to many Nigerians amid rising living costs.

The refinery announced that Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, will now be sold at new rates ranging from N875 to N905 per litre across various regions in the country. This announcement, shared through the official social media page of Dangote Refinery on Thursday, revealed a uniform N15 cut in the pump price per litre for all partner fuel outlets.

The updated prices will be effective immediately and will apply to several fuel distribution partners, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Techno Oil, Optima Energy, and Hyde Energy.

According to the new pricing chart, petrol will now be sold at N875 per litre in Lagos, which previously stood at N890. In the North-East and South-South regions, where prices were earlier pegged at N920 per litre, the new price has dropped to N905.

Similarly, residents in the South-West can now purchase petrol at N885, while those in the North-West and Central regions will see prices fall to N895. The refinery urged the public to patronize only authorized partner stations to benefit from the revised pricing. It also called on customers to report any retail outlet selling above the new rates through its hotline: +234 707 470 2099 or +234 707 470 2100.

“Our quality petrol and diesel are refined for better engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the company stated in its public notice.

This reduction comes shortly after Dangote Refinery reintroduced its refund benefit program for its marketing partners earlier this week. Sources confirmed the return of the benefit was a major reason behind the price adjustment.
