The National Universities Commission has granted full accreditation to six academic programmes offered at Summit University in Offa, Kwara State.
According to a statement released in Ilorin by Dr. Sola Hassan, the National Publicity Secretary of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, the accredited programmes include Microbiology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, and Political Science.
The statement noted that these programmes passed through a rigorous assessment conducted by NUC panels before receiving full accreditation for a period of five years.
Summit University, a faith-based institution established by the Ansar-ud-Deen Society, has been working to improve its academic offerings since its inception. The recent approval by the NUC marks a major milestone in the university’s efforts to meet national standards in higher education.
Dr. Hassan, in the statement, congratulated the university community on the development, stating, “This achievement reflects Summit University’s strong academic structure, highly qualified faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and dedication to upholding national and global standards in higher education.”
