JUST IN: Victor Osimhen Rejects €75m Al Hilal Offer

Victor Osimhen has rejected a high-profile move to Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal, despite a hefty €75 million agreement between the Saudi side and his parent club, Napoli. The Nigerian forward is now at the center of a new transfer scramble, with Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly keen to make another push for his signature.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the update via his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday. He wrote, “Despite agreement between club to club with Napoli for €75m fee, Osimhen says no to the Saudi Pro League club. Galatasaray will insist on signing him with the race now open again.”

Osimhen, who had a remarkable run during his loan period at Galatasaray, scored an impressive 37 goals in just 41 matches. His strong performances helped the Turkish club enjoy a successful season and made him one of the most popular figures among fans. The club now hopes they can convince him to return permanently.

Al Hilal had earlier raised their bid to meet Napoli’s valuation, confident that they were close to securing the 25-year-old forward. Reports suggested they were already planning for his medicals, but Osimhen’s refusal has changed everything.

The reason behind Osimhen’s decision to reject the lucrative offer has not been confirmed, but sources suggest that the player is not keen on moving to the Saudi Pro League at this stage of his career. Instead, he appears to be open to remaining in Europe, where he continues to attract interest from top clubs.

Galatasaray’s pursuit is expected to intensify in the coming weeks as they look to secure one of their most valuable targets. With the summer transfer window now fully open, more European clubs could enter the race.
