NAHCON Lauds Saudi Support, Daleel’s Role in Smooth 2025 Hajj Operations

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has praised the efforts of Saudi Arabian authorities and Daleel Al Maalim Transportation Company for their outstanding cooperation and care during the 2025 Hajj exercise.

The recognition was made by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Usman, during a dinner in Makkah. The event was hosted by Daleel Al Maalim to celebrate the successful completion of this year’s Hajj rites.

In a statement issued by Malam Shafii Mohammed, the commission’s Principal Information Officer, Usman conveyed gratitude for the smooth coordination, security, and hospitality offered to Nigerian pilgrims.

“We express profound appreciation to the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Daleel Al Maalim Transportation Company for their unwavering support and hospitality,” Usman said.

He noted that the Hajj is a unique spiritual journey where millions of Muslims come together in unity and peace. According to him, the gathering reflects the strength and brotherhood of the Muslim world.

Usman also noted the reliable support provided by Daleel Al Maalim in transporting Nigerian pilgrims safely across the holy sites. He described the services as exceptional and said their generosity and spirit of brotherhood left a lasting impression.

“This is a gesture we will never forget. Your hospitality will remain a living memory in our hearts,” he stated.

He went on to appreciate the Saudi government for the large-scale arrangements made to accommodate and protect pilgrims. Usman said the level of planning, healthcare services, and crowd management were impressive and praised the Kingdom for being a dependable guardian of the holy mosques.

“Saudi Arabia has proven once again to be a trustworthy custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,” he added.

Despite the harsh weather, he noted that the 2025 Hajj recorded very few incidents, thanks to the dedication of Saudi officials and other involved parties.

The NAHCON head also conveyed warm regards from President Bola Tinubu, who he described as a leader concerned about the spiritual and physical welfare of Muslims. He added that Vice President Kashim Shettima kept a close eye on the Nigerian pilgrims’ journey from Madinah to Makkah and other sacred locations.

“From Madinah to Makkah, Mina, and Arafat, the Vice President personally followed up every step, always asking about the How are the pilgrims’ welfare,” he shared.

Usman expressed hope that the collaboration between NAHCON and Daleel Al Maalim would grow stronger in future pilgrimages. He also offered prayers for the continued peace and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and its leadership.
