Suspended senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Monday appeared before the Federal High Court in Abuja for her second arraignment over alleged defamation of Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.
Akpoti-Uduaghan, who has been in the spotlight in recent weeks, was seen arriving at the courthouse in the early hours of Monday.
Her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, joined her, along with well-known human rights advocate, Aisha Yesufu, and a group of vocal supporters.
The lawmaker was first arraigned on similar charges. Her first arraignment took place on June 19, 2025, at the Federal Capital Territory High Court.
