Lagos State University (LASU) has been ranked as the most preferred choice for admission in Nigeria, according to new data from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The information was shared during the ongoing policy meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday.
This marks a major shift, as the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) had consistently topped the list in previous years.
The report shows that LASU received the highest number of applications for the 2025 academic session. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) followed closely behind with 58,645 applications, while UNILORIN dropped to third place with 56,758 applications.
