Again, Dangote Petroleum Refinery Slashes Petrol Price to N820 per litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once more reduced the depot price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol, to N820 per litre from the previous N838 per litre, as rivalry grows stronger in Nigeria’s downstream oil market.

This new adjustment came after global crude oil prices dropped to around $70 per barrel yesterday, compared to over $77 per barrel in June 2025. Other depot operators also made price changes, although at smaller rates, as they try to remain competitive under the current market conditions.

Reports from petrolprice.com show that Dangote’s adjustment was the biggest among operators.

Fatgbems made the smallest change, cutting its price slightly from N838 per litre to N837 per litre. Integrated Oil also lowered its price to N836 per litre from N837 per litre, while Bovas followed with the same adjustment to N836 per litre from N837 per litre.

In addition, AIPEC brought down its price to N837 per litre from N840 per litre, and First Royal settled for N838 per litre. These changes reflect the shifting market forces both locally and globally.
