The Department of State Services (DSS) has successfully neutralized a kidnapping gang responsible for abducting the mother of renowned Hausa singer, Rarara. During the operation, the DSS also recovered a substantial ransom amounting to N26.5 million.

Acting on precise intelligence, the Kano command’s tactical team conducted a covert operation in the Makarfi bush, where they located the kidnappers. The gang, comprising five members, was found in the process of dividing the ransom money.

According to a senior official in the secret service, “One Hamisu Tukur is currently in custody with gunshot injuries, while Bature was killed.” The swift and precise action of the DSS tactical team prevented the gang from further executing their criminal plans.
