Panic as Woman Dies in Lagos Tricycle Ride

Panic swept through the Isheri-Idimu area of Lagos State on Friday as a woman, whose identity remains unknown, was found dead in a tricycle, locally known as Keke Marwa. The incident occurred during her transit along the bustling Isheri-Igando Road.

Eyewitnesses repopolicerted that the woman had boarded the tricycle, expecting to reach her destination at Isheri. As the tricycle approached her stop, the rider called out to notify her of their arrival. To his shock, she did not respond.

An anonymous witness described the moment the rider discovered the unresponsive passenger. “I was close to the Isheri bus stop when I heard the tricycle rider shouting for help. When we moved close to the spot, we saw a woman placing her head on the middle of the barricade of the tricycle unresponsive.”

The scene quickly attracted the attention of passersby, who gathered around the tricycle in an attempt to assist. Another eyewitness, Sodiq, recounted the efforts made to revive the woman. “People tried their best to see if they could revive her but could not. It was not too long that the police arrived, and the people around had to leave the spot to avoid being implicated.”

Speculations arose regarding the cause of death, with some suggesting she may have had an underlying health condition or suffered a sudden heart attack. The tricycle was subsequently taken to the Idimu police station, while the deceased was transported to an undisclosed hospital for further examination.
