Renowned Nigerian singer and actress Onyeka Onwenu tragically passed away on the night of July 30, 2024, at the age of 72.
The music icon’s death occurred after she collapsed during a birthday celebration for Mrs. Stella Okoli in Lagos.
She was rushed to Reddington Hospital in Lagos but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The news of her passing has led to an outpouring of tributes from prominent Nigerians and fellow artists alike.
