Rabiu Kwankwaso, the naonal leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed strong confidence in his ability to win the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat along IBB Way in Katsina, Kwankwaso made bold claims about the party’s future success. The event coincided with his condolence visit to the Yar’Adua family following the death of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada.
Kwankwaso, who ran as the NNPP’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, boasted that his party is ready to take over the presidency, as well as key positions at both state and national levels in the 2027 elections.
He emphasized that the NNPP is on a clear path to victory, asserting, “I wish to remind you that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out.”
He urged Nigerians, especially women and youths, to be vigilant and not to be “deceived with spaghetti or money during the next elections.” Kwankwaso also encouraged NNPP leaders to strengthen their commitment to the party’s goals and work hard to ensure success in upcoming elections.
NNPP State Chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of grassroots education about the party’s new logo, which symbolizes a commitment to education for all—an issue close to Kwankwaso’s heart.
Abdulkadir stressed, “There is the need for the party to embark on grassroots sensitisation to inform the members on the importance of the new logo,” indicating the party’s focus on connecting with voters and solidifying their support base as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.
