As the September 21 governorship election in Edo State approaches, Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State is working tirelessly to galvanize support for Monday Okpebholo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at a youth rally in Igarra, the headquarters of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, Ododo described Okpebholo as a true representation of the aspirations of the people of Edo State.
During the event on Friday, Ododo emphasized his commitment to helping the APC candidate secure victory in the upcoming election.
He expressed his confidence in Okpebholo’s ability to deliver on his promises if elected governor, and vowed to leverage his personal and cultural ties with Edo State to aid the campaign.
“The APC Governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, will replicate the outstanding performance of the past APC leadership in the state led by former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, stressing that the APC and its governorship candidate will deliver on their campaign promises by giving topmost priority to the welfare of the people as currently being exemplified in Kogi State under leadership, ” Ododo said.
The statement, released by Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser to the Governor, highlighted Ododo’s determination to rally support, particularly among young people and women.
