BREAKING: First Lady of Akwa Ibom, Patience Umo Eno, Is Dead

The Akwa Ibom State government has announced the heartbreaking news of the death of Pastor Patience Umo Eno, the wife of the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno.

Pastor Patience Umo Eno passed away on September 26, 2024, after battling an undisclosed illness. The state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, confirmed the sad development in an official statement titled “Unexpected Sunset.”

In the release, Ememobong expressed deep sorrow on behalf of the government and the people of Akwa Ibom, noting that Pastor Patience Umo Eno passed away peacefully at a hospital while surrounded by her loved ones.

“She passed away peacefully at the hospital, on 26th September, 2024, in the presence of her family,” the statement read. It further acknowledged that the family is coming to terms with the loss and is leaning on their faith in God during this difficult period.

The statement went on to ask for the support and prayers of the public, while also requesting privacy for the grieving family. “The family submits to the will of the Almighty and asks for the prayers and support of kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time,” Ememobong added.

Governor Umo Eno, in his personal message, thanked everyone who had shown support to the first family since the news broke. He reassured the citizens of Akwa Ibom that despite the tragic loss of his wife, his dedication to serving the state remains steadfast.

“His Excellency, the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno appreciates all who have stood by the first family in this period and assures all the citizens that despite this huge personal loss, his commitment to the service of the state is unwavering,” the statement concluded.
