President Tinubu Celebrates Bishop Oyedepo’s 70th Birthday, Praises His Impact

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and the Presiding Bishop of Faith Tabernacle, on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In a personally signed tribute, President Tinubu joined the rest of the Christian community, members of Winner’s Chapel globally, and Oyedepo’s family in celebrating the milestone achievement. The President emphasized that Oyedepo’s 70th birthday is a significant moment that deserves widespread recognition and honor, given his immense contributions to society.

Tinubu praised Bishop Oyedepo for his visionary leadership, which has had a lasting impact on not just his congregation but also across various sectors of Nigeria’s economy. He acknowledged the Bishop’s role in grooming leaders, noting that Oyedepo’s influence has been felt far and wide, with many leaders being inspired by his teachings and the wisdom drawn from the scriptures.

The President also highlighted the enormous contributions made by Bishop Oyedepo and his church in the areas of education and healthcare, commending their efforts to improve the lives of millions.

Living Faith Church, commonly referred to as Winner’s Chapel, has established several schools and universities, including Covenant University, which is recognized as one of the leading institutions in Nigeria. The church has also established hospitals and other facilities to cater to the needs of people both within and outside the country.

According to President Tinubu, Oyedepo’s teaching of the Word of Faith has played a crucial role in encouraging entrepreneurial growth and sparking a movement towards economic and spiritual development, not only in Nigeria but also in other parts of Africa and the world.

In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the President praised the Bishop’s dedication to spreading the gospel and offering valuable counsel to leaders in both the public and private sectors.

According to the statement, “President Tinubu shares the joy of celebrations with the Presiding Bishop, his wife, Faith Abiola, and all the biological and spiritual children. He prays to God for greater heights in the ministry.

“The President also prays for the renowned preacher’s physical, mental, and spiritual well-being as he continues to serve the nation and humanity.”
