Gunmen Attack, Kill APC Leader Bako Bala in Kebbi State

Gunmen, on Wednesday, attacked and killed Alhaji Bako Bala, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Suru Local Government Area. The incident occurred on Wednesday, plunging the community into grief.

The news was shared on social media by Alhaji Zaidu Bala Kofa Sabuwa, the Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor on Television and Radio. According to his post, the attackers abducted Alhaji Bako Bala from his hometown. After taking him, they shot him and left him in a pool of blood.

Efforts were made to save his life. Bala was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Birnin Kebbi, but sadly, he passed away later that day due to the severity of his gunshot wounds.

In another incident on the same day, bandits reportedly abducted a person from Matseri village in Bunza Local Government Area, also in Kebbi State. During this attack, a young man was shot and is currently being treated at the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin Kebbi, where he is receiving medical care.
