Tinubu Knows Nigerians are Suffering; He Moves Around at Night  – Orji Kalu

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, who represents Abia North in the Nigerian Senate, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu is fully aware of the hardships and economic struggles that many Nigerians are currently facing.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today program on Thursday, Kalu dismissed any claims that the president is disconnected from the people’s reality.

“The President is aware Nigerians are hungry, he knows Nigerians are suffering; he is a street person, he knows the street very well, he visits the FCT, he is not a president that is locked up in a room, whether kidnapping or not, he moves around in his car at night, he is very courageous,” Kalu remarked during the interview.

Kalu’s comments seek to dispel the notion that Tinubu is detached from the current challenges, which include rising inflation, unemployment, and widespread economic hardship.

Many Nigerians have expressed concerns over the high cost of living, but Kalu reassured that the president is aware of these issues and is committed to improving the situation.

When asked about his personal relationship with President Tinubu, Kalu clarified that there was no strain between them. He said; “I never quarrelled with the president, he asked me not to contest and I didn’t contest but I voted for Yari and I don’t regret voting for him,” Kalu said.
