MC Oluomo Sworn Into Office as NURTW President

Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, has officially taken the helm as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). The swearing-in ceremony took place at the NURTW national secretariat in Abuja, marking an important transition for the union and its leadership.

Previously, MC Oluomo served as the Chairman of the NURTW Lagos State Chapter, where he built a strong reputation. His promotion to National President was welcomed by members and officials of the union, who believe his experience will strengthen the organization’s leadership.

The ceremony, overseen by the NURTW’s Legal Officer, Mercy Ibeh, was attended by members of the National Administrative Council (NAC) and the Central Working Committee (CWC). During the ceremony, Ibeh administered the oath of office to MC Oluomo, formally inaugurating him as the head of the union.

In addition to MC Oluomo’s appointment, Tajudeen Agbede and Akeem Adeosun were sworn in as Vice President for the Southwest region and Trustee, respectively. These new leaders are expected to work closely with MC Oluomo to drive the union forward.

In his acceptance speech, MC Oluomo expressed his commitment to advancing the NURTW’s mission, stating, “I promise to lead the union to a greater height with the help of almighty Allah.”
