Anambra Commissioner, Wife Abducted on Way To Abuja, Aide Killed

The Commissioner for Youth Development in Anambra State, Patrick Aghamba, and his wife have reportedly been kidnapped while en route to Abuja. The details of the incident remain unclear, but sources indicate that the commissioner and his wife were abducted by unidentified gunmen during their journey on Friday.

The couple was traveling to Abuja to attend the wedding of Adaora Soludo, the daughter of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo. The wedding is scheduled to take place on Saturday, but the sudden kidnapping has thrown a dark cloud over the joyous occasion.

Reports suggest that during the kidnapping, the commissioner’s aide, identified as ABK Offiah, was killed. The circumstances surrounding his death are still vague, but it is believed that he was caught in the crossfire or attacked by the assailants during the abduction. Offiah was known to be close to the commissioner and had been assisting him in various official and personal capacities.
