After years of legal disputes, Hollywood icons Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have officially finalized their divorce, marking the end of an eight-year court battle.
According to People Magazine, the agreement was signed on December 30, 2024, signaling a new chapter for the once-powerful celebrity couple.
Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, confirmed the development, stating that the actress is “focused on finding peace and healing for their family.”
Simon acknowledged the long and exhausting nature of the process, saying, “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
The couple, who were once the epitome of Hollywood glamour, parted ways in September 2016 when Jolie filed for divorce. In 2018, they reached a custody agreement for their six children, including three adopted ones.
However, disputes over the arrangement reportedly persisted, complicating the path forward for the family.
In addition to custody battles, Pitt and Jolie have been locked in a separate legal fight over Chateau Miraval, their French vineyard and wedding venue. The conflict began when Jolie sold her stake in the estate without Pitt’s consent.
The two first met on the set of the 2005 film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, sparking headlines as Pitt was then married to Jennifer Aniston.
